championship at Brora this weekend
 By ROBIN WILSON
Brora Golf Club, in its 125th year, hosts one of the best and

strongest entries in recent years to the Northern Counties Ladies

Golf Association championship this weekend.

Scottish international Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey), champion in 2012, tops the entry of 66 with her handicap of +1.
The field also includes an ex-professional golfer from England, Steph Coverley who is a security officer at the Dounreay decommissioning site and, on moving north from Yorkshire, has joined tWick Golf Club.
The other scratch golfer in the field is defending champion Cara Gruber (Royal Dornoch). Gruber is one of 18 single-figure handicappers in the field of 66. She is seeking to win the scratch Mary Benton Trophy for a seventh time.
