One of Killarney’s international golfers and other Irish female contender, Mairead Martin, pictured below, added a 76 to her opening 79 to make the cut alongside Wilson.

Wilson closed with rounds of 83 and 75 to secure  third place in the girls tournament, while Martin carded rounds of 81 and 84 to finish  sixth.
England’s Lily Humphreys carded all four rounds in the 70s (77, 75, 73, 74) to win the tournament by eight shots from Amelia Williamson.
There was no joy for the men at Fairhaven, with all Irish boys just falling outside the cut line.
