weather day in Georgia

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Heather Munro from Monifieth, a student at Elon University, North Carolina, posted a two-over-par 74 on a weather-hit first day of the Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle's Landing, Stockbridge in the state of Georgia today.
Play was held up for 75min due to lightning and heavy rain so quite a few players could not finish their rounds by the time play was suspended because of bad light.
One of those still to complete 18 holes in Heather's Elon team-mate Kelsey Badmaev. Two under par after 15 holes, Kelsey leads the field. She won on her last tournament outing.
Another Elon player, Emily Brooks is the leader in the clubhouse with a complete round of one-under 71 for a 6033yd course.
Georgina Blackman (Western Kentucky) from Essex is T21 with a 75.
Former Scottish girls U18 champion Lesley Atkins (Louisiana-Monroe) is T74 in a field of 84 players. She returned an 86.
