COLIN FARQUHARSON UNDER FIRE FOR CRITICISING SLGA TEAMS' PERFORMANCES

In response to Colin Farquharson's scathing article on the poor performance by the Scottish Ladies Golf Teams this year.

My name is Graham Dallas and my wife was the SLGA National Coach for five years, starting in late 2001.

When she started, the records show Scotland in a similar position as they are now, finishing poorly in the Home Internationals year on year.  

Over the five years my wife was the national coach this changed dramatically, both at Home International level and at European level. 

However, during that period, Colin never recognised the turn around in fortunes.  

This website, Kirkwoodgolf.co.uk, whether you like it or not, is part of the Scottish Ladies Golf establishment as it is read by all the officials and players, and for that reason carries a lot of weight.  

Success in sport is a delicate flower, difficult to grow and easy to destroy. 

My message to Colin Farquharson is:

You are quick to criticise your country's failure but you never got behind Karyn when she was producing results.

So if you are truly keen to see success then you, have to recognise it, encourage it and celebrate it when it comes along.  By not doing so you become part of the problem, like it or not.

So the next time success comes around Colin, get behind it!!!
