VIKKI MAKES IT BUT SUSIE FAILS AT
LPGA Q SCHOOL ELIMINATOR

Vikki Laing's fledgling career as a rookie professional took a big step forwards in California on Saturday when she was one of 30 qualifiers for the LPGA Tour Final Qualifying School at Daytona Beach, Florida in October.
Vikki shot rounds of 72, 75, 71 and 73 for a total of three-over-par 291 in the second and last eliminating competition at Mission Hills Country Club at Rancho Mirage.
That put her in a comfortable 13th equal place behind the No 1 qualifier American Michelle Simpson who finished at seven-under-par 281.
Sweden's Mikaela Parmlid, who, like Vikki, has spent the last four years playing the American college golf circuit, was the No 2 qualifier with 285.
Danielle Masters, the England amateur international player from Maidstone Kent - a Great Britain & Ireland team-mate of Vikki in the Vagliano Trophy match at Co Louth at the end of July, finished with a great round of 68 to be tied for 10th place on 290 after earlier scores of 70, 75 and 77.
Another English player, Kirsty Taylor, progress in joint 20th place on 294.
But Eleanor Pilgrim from Wales took one shot too many to figure in the play-off on 295 for the last of the 30 spots at Daytona Beach. Eleanor had a 71 for 296.
Susie Laing from Troon started with a 70 but got steadily worse with scores of 76, 79 and 80 to finish joint 72nd on 305.
