Chloe shoots record 66 to pip Gemma for

British Universities title at Crail

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Chloe Goadby (Stirling University), pictured above with the trophy,  shot a brilliant final round of eight-under-par 66 - three shots inside the old record of 66 set by rival and team-mate Gemma Batty 24 hours earlier - to win the British Universities Golf Tour's women's championship at Crail Golfing Society today.

Chloe, a member of the St Regulus Club, St Andrews, had ever improving scores of 81, 75, 70 and 66 for a four-under-par aggregate of 292.
Chloe (pictured) pipped the overnight leader Gemma Batty by one stroke. Scottish universities title-holder Gemma had scores of 77, 73, 69 and 75 for a total of 293.
Miranda Brain (St Andrews) finished third on 298.
The men's championship was won by Durham University's Spanish student Juan Miguel Heredia with scores of 70, 73, 71 and 70 for four-under-par 284.
He won by two shots from Andrew Wilson (Northumbria) 75-74-67-70 with James Glenn (Durham) and Mathias Eggenberger (Stirling) tied for third place on 287.
Eggenberger, a Swiss international, won the R and A Foundation Scholars tournament men's title after a play-off at St Andrews earlier this week.
