When the going gets tough, Lesley Atkins has

best ULM third-round score
McALLEN, Texas – The Louisiana-Monroe women’s golf team stayed put in eighth place after the final day of competition at the UTRGV Invitational from the back tees of McAllen Country Club.
Tough weather conditions contributed to the Warhawks’ final-round team score of 334, one stroke behind the first round and 19 strokes behind the second.

Third-year student Lesley Atkins (pictured) from Hawick shot an 11-over-par 82 on the final day - but it was the best score by a ULM player, so bad was the storming weather.
Junior Michaela Osborne (83) and freshmen Ashton Maddaloni (84) and Olivia Landberg (85) followed respectively, one stroke behind the other. Junior Devanshi Naik rounded out the squad with a 17-over 88.
Maddaloni scratched the lowest ULM aggregate of the weekend, finishing in a two-way tie for 28th at 30-over. Osborne (+32) finished 31st while Atkins scored one stroke higher (246)in a two-way tie for 32nd at 33-over with rounds of 84, 80 and 82.
Landberg and freshman Scarlett Eaton, competing as an individual, were part of a five-way tie for 36th at 36-over. Naik fell five spots on the final day to finish 45th at 41-over.
There were 60 players in the field.
