NEWS RELEASE FROM
EUROPEAN GOLF ASSOCIATION
Olivia Mehaffey (Royal Co Down Ladies) of Ireland, 2015 British women's open amateur championship semi-finalist and winner of the 2015 Welsh women's  and Helen Holm Scottish open stroke-play championships, has had to withdraw due to illness from the European team set to face Team Asia-Pacific in the first edition of the Patsy Hankins Trophy in Portugal next week.

Taking the place of Mehaffey (pictured right)  in the biennial match will be Chloe Williams of Wrexham, Wales.
In 2015, Williams was Welsh close championship finalist, placed third in the European Nations Cup Individual and played in the Home Internationals.
Williams, pictured left, gained international match experience as a GB and I team player at the Astor Trophy tournament in Australia in January 2015 and, in June that year, also the 2015 Vagliano Trophy match against the Continent of Europe at Malone GC, Belfast.
