Heather Munro finishes third at Kiawah Island

Spring Classic, three behind joint winners

Heather Munro from Monifieth, a second-year student at Elon University, North Carolina, finished third in a field of 216 players at the Kiawah Island Spring Classic women's college tournament on Tuesday.

Heather, pictured right, had rounds of 74, 68 and 71 for a three-under-par total of 213 over a 5,964yd course.
She finished three shots behind the two players who tied for victory, Fatima Cano (Troy) 69-72-69 and Emily McLennan (Chattanooga) 68-75-67.
Rachel Walker (Old Dominion University) from Dumfries finished joint 53rd on 228 with rounds of 73, 79 and76
Anglo-Scot Paige Kemp (Stetson) finished on 235 with rounds of 75, 891 and 79 for a share of 109th place in the huge field.
Stetson team-mate Eilidh Watson from Dollar finished T151 on 241 with scores of 82, 77 and 82.  
Olivia Jay (Radford University) from York finished T188 on 252 with rounds of 82, 88 and 82.
Coastal Carolina (871) won the team title ahead of Chattanooga (879), College of Charleston (884), Old Dominion (889) and Elon (896).
Stetson (920) finished 19th and Radford (981) 37th in a field of 41 teams.
