Meek and Young toil over last round at 

Orlando  but Missouri finish third

Scots Jess Meek from Carnoustie and Scottish champion Clara Young from North Berwick were in the Missouri University team that finish a close-up third in the University of Central Florida Challenge 54-hole tournament at Orlando.
Meek (77 for 229 and a T44 finish) and Young (80 for 230 and T49) were not at their best and it was left to team-mate Michelle Butler to lift Missouri to a team total of 890 behind title winners Houston (885) and Tulane (886).
Butler shot 71-70-75 for 216, finishing runner-up, three shots behind F Gustafson (East Carolina) who had rounds of 73, 68 and 72 for three-under 213.
Meek's earlier rounds were 73 and 79; Young's 77 and 73.
Another Missouri player, Emma Allen from Southampton achieved a T28 finish with 80, 71 and 74 for 225.
Team event top five:
885 Houston; 886 Tulane; 890 Missouri; 891 Texas; 892 East Carolina and Iowa State.
18 teams took part.
