USA college win in play-off

PINEVILLE, Kentucky – Alasdair Ross, a third-year student from Fort William. Scotland, pictured right, captured medallist honours while the Union College men's golf team finished second in the Bulldog Fall Invitational, played on the par-72 Wasioto Winds Golf Course (6,825yd) at Pineville, Kentucky
The Bulldogs finished with a two-day team total of 584, tying with St. Andrews (North Carolina) for second place. Bryan (Tennessee) were the team title winners with a total of 583.
Ross scored his first win on the USA men's college circuit by defeating Ben Dulin (Reinhardt, Georgia) at the first hole of a sudden-death play-off. They had tied after 36 holes on two-under-par 142. Ross shot two 71s, Dulin 74 and 68.
Ross's English team-mate, Andy Dusek from Woking, Surrey, finished T17 on 149 with scores of 75 and 74. A total of 69 players took part.
