Irish senior women's close championship at Castletroy

LEADING QUALIFIER MacLAREN PLAYS TITLE HOLDER WEBB FOR PLACE IN FINAL

 

Leading qualifier Mary MacLaren (Royal Portrush) defeated Catherine Reilly (The Heath) and Fiona Corbett (Castletroy) to safely navigate into the semi-finals of the Irish Senior Women's Close Championship at Castletroy today.

MacLaren will face defending champion Laura Webb (East Berkshire) who narrowly edged out Mary Dowling (Mallow) at the 19th

The second semi-final sees 2013 Seniors Close Champion Suzanne Corcoran (Portumna) play 2013 Seniors Open Champion Gertie McMullen (The Island) who both safely made it through today’s matchplay rounds.

In the Plate, Catherine Bird (Nenagh) will play Niamh Giblin (Dun Laoghaire) while Fionnuala McGrady (Dunmurry) will play Ann Monteith (Slieve Russell).
