Scottish Senior Women's Match-play Championships at Powfoot

Pow beats defending champion Bartlett to reach last 4, No 2 seed Wood wins at 19th

Top seeds Martine Pow (Selkirk) and Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies) are still on course to meet in Friday afternoon's final of the Scottish senior women's match-play championship - but Wood had to go to the 19th to claim her place in the last four.
Fiona de Vries (St Regulus) was the Aberdeen Ladies player's opponent in the quarter-finals at Powfoot Golf Club's links course on the shores of the Solway Firth.
All square after 18 holes, Wood managed to win the first extra thole and will play Frances Millar (Carnoustie Caledonia), the No 6 qualifier,  for a place in the final.
Senior stroke-play title-winner on Wednesday, Martine Pow, a former Scottish champion and the last player to win the British women's mid-am title in 2006, beat Kathleen Sutherland (Royal Montrose) and then Alison Bartlett (Royal Dornoch), the Northern Counties LGA secretary, who won both the senior stroke and match-play titles last year.
Pow beat Bartlett by 2 and 1 to earn a semi-final against Karen Burns (Bathgate), the No 4 seed.
