SUSAN JACKSON TOP SEED FOR FIFE WOMEN'S MATCH-PLAY

Ladybank's Susan Jackson, recent winner of the Scottish universities women's title at Lossiemouth, is now on the trail of the Fife women's county golf championship over the Drumoig course near Leuchars. The Edinburgh University student earned the top seed berth among the 16 qualifiers for the match-play stages by winning the county's spring meeting which is held in conjunction with the qualifying round. Jackson had a round of 73, one ahead of former Scottish champion Fiona Hastie (St Regulus) who is seeded to meet her in the final. The match-play stages begin at Drumoig on Saturday, May 7.
