GOADBY SLIPS TO THIRD PLACE IN PORTUGAL


Stirling student Chloe Goadby from St Andrews fell back from the pole position to third place after a third-round, nine-over-par 81 in the 88th Portuguese women's international amateur golf championship at West Cliffs Golf Resort, Obidos today (Friday).

Chloe is now lying joint third on 228, four strokes behind the new leader, England's Annabell Fuller who had a par-matching 72, the best of the day, to jump into a three-stroke lead from Germany's Aline Krauter.
Aboyne's Shannon McWilliam had a nightmare round of 82 which included 8s at the par-4 11th and par-3 16th in halves of 38-44. She has dropped to joint ninth on 234.

Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey) moved past her compatriot into seventh place on 232 with a round of 75.
