SCOTLAND WIN THROUGH TO FLIGHT B FINAL BY BEATING FINLAND

Scotland Won 4.5 - 0.5 against Finland today to reach the final of Flight B of the European Seniors Team Championships in Slovakia today. They now meet Italy in the group final tomorrow

In Flight A Ireland's hopes of retaining their European title this morning were dashed as they lost 4-1 to ​England in the first semi-final of the morning. Laura Webb secured the only point for Ireland as she overcame Fiona Edmond in her singles match.

England play France tomorrow in the final.

Scotland's efforts to retain the Senior Men's European team title came to an end today (Friday) when they were beaten by Denmark in the semi-finals at the PGA National Club in Sweden.
Scotland went down by 3.5 points to 1.5. Nick Robson (Meldrum House) and Robert Smith (Nairn) won the opening foursomes match, but Denmark took 3.5 out of a possible 4 points in the singles matches.
Denmark will play Ireland in Saturday's final, while Scotland will face England in the third place play off.
