ALICE HEWSON AND FIONA LIDDELL BOUND FOR US COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

GB and I Vagliano Trophy team place contender Alice Hewson (Clemson University) faded to a joint eighth place finish with rounds of 69, 72 and 74 for one-under-par total of 215 but because Clemson finished in the top six teams, Alice will play in the NCAA Finals later this month.
The Curtis Cup team player from Berkhamsted had a triple bogey 6 at the short 16th after birdies at the second, eighth and ninth in 35 shots to the turn in her final round at the NCAA Athens Regional at Athens, Georgia.
Jennifer Kupcho (Wake Forest) made all the running to win the individual honours with scores of 68, 70 and 68 for 10-under 206.

Former Scottish U18 girls champion Fiona Liddell (Baylor) will also play in the NCAA Finals as her university also figured among the six qualifying teams. Fiona finished T43 in a field of 96 with scores of 79, 68 and 79 for 226.
Connie Jaffrey (Kansas State) from Kilwinning's US college season is over as Kansas State finished 13th and only the top six advance.
Connie had scores of 79,77 and 75 for 231 and a T67 finish.
Team mate Chloe Weir from Belfast finished T80 on 237 with scores of 80 77 and 80.
The six qualifying teams were Alabama (857), Northwestern (871), Michigan State 872, Baylor 877, Clemson 884 and North Carolina 886
