BRONTE LAW LEADING BRIT IN CALIFORNIA

Former Curtis Cup players Bronte Law, Gemma Dryburgh and Charlotte Thomas finished T20 and T25 respectively in the LPGA Symetra Tour's IOA Championship at Beaumont, California at the weekend.

Law had rounds of 69, 71 and 73 for three-under-par 213 and earned $1,177.

Thomas and Dryburgh tied on two-under 214, Charlotte with rounds of 73, 71 and 70, Gemma 68, 76 and 70. They each earned $923.

Winner of the $15,000 first prize was Ecuador's Daniela Darquea with scores of 70, 67 and 67 for 12-under 204.

She won by three shots from joint runners-up Benyapa Niphatsophon (Thailand) (71-69-67) and Anne-Catherine Tanquay (USA) (69-68-70. They earned $8,114 each.

Galway-born Alison Walshe (USA) and Cindy Lacrosse (USA) tied for fourth place on 208. Walshe shot 70, 72 and 66, Lacrosse 68, 70 and 70. They each earned $4,799.
