CONNIE'S BAD START IN PANTHER INTERCOLLEGIATE


Former GB and I international Connie Jaffrey dropped five shots over three holes early in the first round of the John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate tournament at Eagles Landing Country Club, Stockbridge in Georgia today (Sunday).

Connie, from Kilwinning, had a triple bogey 8 at the par-5 third and a double bogey 6 at the par-4 fifth on her way to an outward half of 41.

She came home in 37 for a six-over-par 78 and is T40 in a field of 82 players.

Elsa Moberly (Eastern Kentucky) leads by three with a four-under 68 over a 6,033yd course.
