DUNBLANE STUDENT MAKES TOP 30 AT SPARTANBURG

  King University, Tennesee students Nicola Robertson (pictured left) from Dunblane and Samantha Taylor from Newcastle finished T27 and T34 respectively in a field of 98 players at the Converse Spring Invitational at Carolina Country Club, Spartanburg in South Carolina.

Nicola had rounds of 83 and 80 for 163. Samantha scored 79-86 for 165.

Individual winner of the 36-hole event was Marley Felthousen (Converse) with scores of 73 and 76 for a one-stroke victory with a five-over-par 149 total over a 5,881yd course.

Hosts Converse College (627) won the team title ahead of King (631) with Lincoln Memorial (636) third in a field of 19 teams.
