HEATHER BLOOMING AT KIAWAH ISLAND

KIAWAH ISLAND, South Carolina – The Elon University women's golf team used a two-under par round from Scotland international player Heather Munro to gain one place on the leaderboard following two rounds of the 2017 Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic on Monday.
Also in the huge field at Kiawah Island are two Stetson University students, Anglo-Scot Paige Kemp who comes from Essex but her mother hails fron Stirling, and Dollar-born Eilidh Watson.
Paige is sharing 29th place on 149 after rouonds of 79 and 70.
Eilidh is T90 on 155 with rounds of 79 and 76.

With one round remaining to be played, the Phoenix sits 11th out of 43 teams in the field.

The Highlights
For the second day in a row, Munro, from Dundee, went under par as she carded a two-under par 70.
She notched five birdies on Monday, giving her nine through the first two rounds of action. Munro is three-under for the tournament and sits in a tie for third among the 232 players.
