Top seed Karen Marshall loses in Strathtyrum quarter-finals at St Andrews
Karen Marshall (Baberton), the top seed by a runaway margin, lost in the quarter-finals  this afternoon of the Strathtyrum Tournament for women at St Andrews.
She went down by 2 and 1 to Tara Rodenhurst from Ludlow.
Tara will face Ann Ramsay (Kirriemuir) in tomorrow (Friday) morning's first semi-final (8.10am) while former Scottish women's amateur champion and British mid-amateur women's tile-winner Martine Pow from Selkirk will play Charlotte Odman (Sweden) at 8.20.
