Angus lacking Scottish champion Ailsa

Summers for Northern  Jamboree at Edzell

By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Defending champions Angus are unable to call on the services of new Scottish title-holder Ailsa Summers (Carnoustie Ladies) for this week's North Division women's inter-county team championship at Edzell Golf Club.
Ailsa works as an aircraft dispatcher at Edinburgh Airport and, after a week off at West Kilbride last week for the "Scottish," there was no way she could get more time off so quickly.
The Angus team to play Aberdeenshire, Northern Counties and Perth and Kinross from June 11 to 13 is:

Ann Ramsay  (Kirriemuir)
Ashley Smith  (Monifieth)
Claire Penman (Carnoustie Caledonia)
Heather Munro (Monifieth)
Jackie Brown  (Monifieth)
Jacqueline Cameron (Blairgowrie)
Katie Reid  (Monifieth)
Lynne Fenton  (Carnoustie Ladies)

Ramsay, Munro, Brown, Cameron (maiden name Sneddon) and Katie Reid played last year for Angus when they won the title at Murcar Links.
The winners of the Northern Division championship go forward to the Scottish finals and Angus have won the Scottish title three of the past four years.
