Hannah McCook regains Northern Counties'
title by winning 17th, 18th in Brora final

Top seed Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey) regained the Northern Counties LGA championship at Brora this afternoon with a one-hole win over defending champion Cara Thompson (Royal Dornoch).
There was never more than a hole in it either way in an absorbing final.
McCook played a poor shot at the 16th to go one down but raised her game when she needed it most, winning the 17th to square the final and then the 18th to be county champion aga
The handicap championship was won by 14-year-old Sarah Westwood (Elgin), one of five juniors to figure among the eight match-play qualifiers.
Sarah, who plays off 18, beat Kerry Williamson (Wick) (14) by 2 and 1 in the final after winning the first, the second with a birdie, the third and the fourth with a birdie.
