Nuneaton's Charlotte Hartshorn finishes T16 

in Texas, Lesley Atkins 74th





By COLIN FARQUHARSON Charlotte Hartshorn, a third-year student at Houston Baptist University and a former Warwickshire player of the year - she comes from Nuneaton, finished T16 in a big field at the quaintly named All There August Challenge college tournament, hosted by Texas University at Landa Park Golf Club, New Braunfels.

Charlotte, pictured, shot three steady rounds of 74, 75 and 75 for a total of 224 over a par-71 course of 5,885yd.
Julie Houston (Texas-San Antonio) was the individual winner with scores of 69, 69 and 76 for 214.
Former Scottish U18 girls champion and Gullane Golf Club member Lesley Atkins, pictured left, (Louisiana-Monroe) finished 74th  with scores of 84, 83 and 89 for 256.
Sam Houston State (878) won the team title ahead of joint second Middle Tennessee and Long Beach State (883) with Houston Baptist (901) seven of the 15 competing teams.
