PORTLETHEN STUDENT TIED FIFTH IN TEXAS

Ben Murray's tied fifth finish in Texas

 

Ben Murray, pictured, from Portlethen, a student at Midland College, Texas, finished joint fifth in a field of 75 at this week's Dr Pepper Classic college golf tournament at Twin Rivers Golf Club, Waco in Texas.

Murray had rounds of 71 and 73 for a level par aggregate over a long course of 7,478yd. He finished five shots behind the winner by three, team-mate Stefan Cronje (71-68 for139)

Midland won the team title.
