Shannon McWilliam (South Aberdeenshire) and Matthew McCulloch (Dumfries and Galloway) are the new Paul Lawrie Foundation Scottish schools golf champions

Aboyne's Shannon McWilliam (72-72) and Emily Dalgetty (Midlothian) (74-70) tied on 144 at the end of the regulation 36 holes over the main course and the shorter Lynedoch circuit on a sunny and warm day at Murrayshall House Hotel, five miles north of Perth.
Shannon, who was Scottish U14 girls champion last year and is this year's Aberdeenshire women's county champion (the youngest ever), won the schoolgirls title after a play-off.
The girls' team title was won by Forth Valley's Eilidh Watson and Jennifer Allan with a total of 208. Aberdeen City (313) were second, and East Lothian (314) third after a card countback with Angus who also totalled 314.
Eilidh Watson also won the girls' handicap prize.
New boys champion McCulloch had rounds of 73 (main course) and 67 (Lynedoch) for a total of 140.
Following in the footsteps of another Dumfries and Galloway prospect, Connor Syme, winner of the PLF Scottish boys title in 2012 and 2013, McCulloch finished one shot ahead of Jamie Stewart (Renfrewshire) (70-71).
Not related to today's performance, Stewart is going to be Scotland's boy representative in next month's R and A Junior Open at West Lancashire Glf Club.
Andrew Thompson (South Lanarkshire) was third on 142 with scores of 70-72.
Joint fourth on 143 were Colin Edgar (Renfrewshire) (71-72) and Callum Bruce (North Aberdeenshire) (71-72).
Renfrewshire (287) won the boys' team title ahead of Glasgow (292) and Dumfries and Galloway (294).
There were prizes for the boys' best first and second rounds.
