IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE BY GERMANY-BASED SCOT

Minutes after Rachael's mum took this picture of her with the trophy, Rachael was thrown into the pond which you can see in the background - apparently a tournament tradition that is catching on all over the place!

Scot Rachael Taylor has won the Bavarian women's amateur golf championship with rounds of 68, 74 and 67 for a seven-under-par total of  209.
Even the winner of the men's championship which was being played simultaneously at Starnberg Golf Club, just outside Munich, could not get as low as seven under par!
The Scot had an eagle and 15 birdies over the 54 holes and finished five strokes clear of the runner-up.ou for your article.
The icing on the cake for Rachael is that she has been invited to play in the Ladies European Tour event, the Ladies German Open, at Wörthsee from July 17 to 20.
