SCOT GEMMA DRYBURGH LYING JT FOURTH IN FLORIDA
Gemma Dryburgh, daughter of an Aberdeen oil executive, was lying joint fourth in a field of 32 after the first round of the SunCoast Tour 54-hole event at Disney's Lake Buena Vista course, Orlando in Florida.
Gemma, pictured, a student at Tulane University, New Orleans, shot a one-over-par 74 (37-37) over the 6,500yd course.
The Scotland girl international, beaten by Eilidh Briggs in the Scottish U18 girls final at Glenisla in 2011, was five shots adrift of the leader by four strokes, Sandra Changkija, a professional from Orlando.
Sandra had halves of 35 and 34 over a testing course which includes five par-5 holes, three of them 500yd and over.
