UNIVERSITY WEBSITE

The Chattanooga Mocs have had quite a 2012 on the golf course. UTC is also making waves off it with it 2013 recruiting class. A total of four signed National Letters of Intent to join the Mocs in the fall of 2013.
UTC signed locally, regionally and internationally with this class. Ewan Scott (pictured by Cal Carson Golf Agency) of St Andrews, Scotland is a major highlight of the class along with Knoxville's Stuart Thomas. Local signees Andrew Weathers (McCallie) and Brooks Thomas (Ringgold) round out the early signing group.
"This is as excited as I have ever been about a recruiting class," Head Coach Mark Guhne stated. "You are always looking forward to working with the young men you bond with while recruiting, and this group has a chance to be very special."
Scott won the Scottish Hydro Boys' Order of Merit as the top junior golfer in his homeland. His 840 points easily out-distanced his nearest competition by 202 points.
He posted wins at the Golf Data Lab Scottish Youths Open Stroke Play Championship, Fife Boys Stroke Play and the Faldo Junior Series Scottish Qualifier.
In all, he had nine top fives with his three wins, two seconds, two thirds and two fifths. His runner-ups came at the Paul Lawrie Foundation Scottish Boys Championship and the Faldo Series Grand Final.
Waiting to greet new recruit Scott next August will be Chris from Banchory, twice a winner in the States so far, and Liam Johnston from Dumfries. Chris is a third year (junior) student, Liam a second year (sophomore) student.
