CULTS ACADEMY WIN PAUL LAWRIE FOUNDATION SCHOOLS TEAM CHALLENGE

Cults Academy, represented by Ryan McKinnon, Andrew
Carrell and Ben Henderson, won the rescheduled Paul Lawrie Foundation Schools’
Team Challenge Scratch Trophy for the first time at Peterculter Golf Club.
McKinnon led the way with a one-over-par 72, which also
won him the individual scratch prize, whilst Carrell and Henderson both
contributed 78s for a team total of 228.
They won by 4 stokes from Alford Academy’s Callum Coutts (75), Ray
Gordon (76) and Patrick McKenna (81). Defending Champions, Robert Gordon’s
College - Michael Lawrie (74), Thomas Cameron (80) and Henri Charles (82) -
finished third on 236.
Mintlaw Academy claimed the Handicap Trophy with a net
score of 216. Their team players and individual scores were: Decklan Addison (5) 70, Calvin Cheyne
(5) 71 and Liam Allan (6) 75. Peterhead Academy were runners-up on
218 and Albyn School placed third on 223 after a card countback against
Aberdeen Grammar School.
