SCOTTISH JUNIOR MASTERS

WEST LINTON LAD MAKES LOCAL

KNOWLEDGE PAY OFF

Fraser Thain made the most of his local knowledge to have the highest stableford points score of 41 over his home course at West Linton in the Scottish Junior Masters Regional Qualifier 3 today.

Fraser headed the 11 boys who will go on to the Grand Final over the Queen’s Course, Gleneagles on Sunday, October 9 – but it was a close-run thing.

He won by a single point from runner-up Liam Rafferty (Prestonfield).
