ASHTON INGRAM HEADING WEST

FORT WILLIAM GIRL BOUND FOR

NORTH CAROLINA COLLEGE

Northern Counties golf team member Ashton Ingram from Fort William is joining Belmont Abbey College, near Charlotte, North Carolina on a four-year computer studies course, beginning next month.

The arrival of 18-year-old Ashton will be a boost to the Belmont Abbey College women’s golf team who compete in the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference of the American college golf circuit.

There is one British student already on the roster – Kirsty Donaldson from Southampton.

CARLY IS COMRIE CHAMPION

Carly Booth has beaten Elaine Davidson 5 and 4 in the final of the Comrie women's club championship.

ALEXANDRA WINS STRATHMORE

TITLE - AFTER 36-HOLE FINAL

Perth & Kinross team member Alexandra Bushby, who won all six games for the county in their capture of the North Division title at Crieff recently, continues in excellent form.

She beat her county vice-captain and former secretary Dawn Butchat by 4 and 3 in the final of the Strathmore women's club championship.

It must be one of the few 36-hole women's club championship finals in the country. If you know any other, let us know.
