SCOTTISH WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

DONNA POCOCK THROUGH TO CLARK
ROSEBOWL FINAL AT PRESTWICK

Murcar's Donna Pocock won her tie against Aberdeen University graduate Katy Mathieson (Glenbervie) by 4 and 2 to reach the final of the Clark Rosebowl tournament at Prestwick Golf Club today.
The event, staged in conjunction with the Scottish women's amateur championship for the leading non-qualifiers for the match-play stages, was won over the Old Course, St Andrews last year by another Murcar player, Sjavon Wilson.
Donna squeezed through her opening tie at the 19th against Kirsten Blackwood (Glencorse) but won with more to spare in the semi-final.
Miss Pocock's opponent in the 18-hole final is Stirling University student Dawn Dewar from Monifieth.
