SCOT KARIS LEARNS FROM KARRIE WEBB AT US WOMEN'S OPEN

If learning from the best is a catalyst for success, keep an eye on Becky Kay, Innerleithen-born Scot, Karis Davidson (centre, above) and Hannah Green.

The trio has been chewing the ear of the legendary Karrie Webb this week during her US Women's Open campaign in New Jersey.

Queenslanders Kay and Davidson were joint winners of this year's Karrie Webb Scholarship, enabling our top-ranked amateurs from last season to spend a week with their idol as she prepares and plays the year's third major championship.

West Australian Green, who turned pro at the end of 2016 and is making a great fist of her maiden Symetra Tour campaign, has twice previously won the honour. But she couldn't resist the offer when Webb told her she could "tag along" this week after she missed out on qualification.

"It's amazing to see what Karrie does, how she prepares," Kay said.

Watch the video to hear what our talented trio say about their chance to learn directly from Australia's greatest female golfer.
