By COLIN FARQUHARSON
Hannah Darling (Broomieknowe) was one up against Jillian Farrell (Cardross) after 18 holes of the 36-hole Scottish U18 girls' amateur championship final at Scotscraig Golf Club, Fife.
Darling, pictured, had much the better of the opening nine holes and was four up at the turn, having own the fourth, seventh, eighth and ninth with par figures.
Farrell got her game together after the turn and won the 11th with a par, the 12th with a birdie and the 13th with a birdie to slash her deficit to only one hole.
Darling birdied the 15th to go two up again but Farrell birdied ther 16th to go back to one down.
The 18th was halved in birdies.
Between them, the finalists had six birdies over the last seven holes - quality stuff!
