Defending champion Sheena Wood makes it through to last four at Blairgowrie

Leading qualifier Frances Millar (Carnoustie Caledonian) was beaten by last year's Scottish Veteran Ladies champion Jennifer Bryans in the first match play round of the Scottish Senior Women's open amateur championship at Blairgowrie's Rosemount course.
Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies), the defending  champion, made it through to the quarter-finals with a one-hole victory over Donna Jackson (Troon Ladies).
 Heather Anderson (2009 and 2012 champion ) playing over her home course and Fiona De Vries (2010 Champion) both progressed through to the quarter finals. The 2014 Champion Alison Bartlett, however, was beaten by Lorna McKinlay
Wendy Nicholson had a tough match against former Scottish senior Internationalist Anne Ryan winning at the 22nd hole. However, Anne's sister Mary Smith also a former Senior Internationalist scrapped through with a 1 hole win over West Vets Champion Liz Stewart.
Renfrewshire County Captain Gillian Kyle had a very close match against Aileen Baker to win on the 17th
The quarter final winners were Sheena Wood, Lorna McKinlay, Fiona de Vries and Gillian Kyle.
