FRIDA KINHULT WINS AT 19TH

Frida Kinhult from Sweden, the fifth seed, won the Spanish women's amateur international championship at Sherry Golf, Jerez near Cadiz today.

Frida, whose older brother Marcus won the Lytham Trophy tournament at Royal Lytham St Annes in 2015, beat Italy's Alessia Nobilio at the 19th hole in the final.

Frida won the fourth to go one up but lost to seventh to be pulled back to all square.

Kinhult went one up again by winning the ninth but Nobilio won the 11th and the 12th to lead for the first and only time in the match.

Kinhult won the 13th to square the match and every hole was halved after that until the 19th which the Swede won for victory.
