Gemma and Chloe sharing 12th place in Portuguese championship

Anglo-Scot Gemma Batty (Moffat) and Ireland's Chloe Ryan are jointly the leading British/Irish players in joint 12th place of a field of 90 after three rounds of the Portuguese women's amateur international championship at Montado Golf Resort on the Costa Azul near Lisbon.

 Batty (72-73-75) and Ryan (72-76-72) are on the four-over-par 220 mark, eight shots behind the all-the-way leader Letizia Bagnoli (Italy) who has scored 67, 73 and 72 for four-under-par 212.

Bagnoli leads by two strokes from Sweden's Julie Engstrom who, at 15 years of age, became the youngest ever winner of the British women's open amateur championship at Dundonald Links last summer.
