Halfway point of the LPGA Q Schools finals

We’ve surpassed the halfway point at LPGA Q-School finals at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.

With the top 20 finishers earning 2017 cards at the end of the week, here’s a look at the highlights from round three.

Leader(s): 17-year-old Nasa Hataoka tallied her third consecutive sub-70 round with a 69 Friday to take the outright lead at 14 under. She was tied with Mel Reid at 11 under entering Friday.

Iceland’s Olafia Kristinsdottir is having one heck of a week and is in position to become the first Icelandic woman ever to earn an LPGA card. She’s third after shooting 67 Friday and American Jaye Marie Green is in second at 13 under after a third-round 67 as well.

India’s Aditi Ashok shot 1-over 71 Friday and sits T-27, needing to put two solid rounds together on the weekend to earn her card.

American Beth Allen carded a 68 and sits T-10 after securing her Order of Merit title on the Ladies European.

Gemma Dryburgh, Sally Watson and Kylie Walker need very good fourth rounds if they are to make the leading 70 who will qualify for the final 18 holes at the LPGA Final Qualifying School at Daytona Beach, Florida.

Dryburgh slipped down to T91 alongside Holly Clyburn on the five-over 221 mark. Both shot third-round 75s. Watson had a 72 for 225 but is T132 while Walker is on 226 (T136) after a 73.
