LEEDS STUDENT SECOND IN NEW YORK EVENT

Kirsty Beckwith (pictured left) from Leeds, a second-year student at St John's University, Queens in New York, finished second behind team-mate Linda Wang in this week's St John's Invitational at Saint Andrews Golf Club, New York.

Kirsty had round of 74 and 77 for 151, one behind Linda who had a pair of 75s.

Only a small field of five teams and St John's (627) headed them from Quinnipiac (644) and Hofstra (658).
