Slade Valley win the Mary McKenna Diamond Trophy

The Ladies of Slade Valley Golf Club who won the Mary McKenna Diamond Trophy at the weekend

Slade Valley GC, Leinster were the winners of the Mary McKenna Diamond Trophy at Woodenbridge Golf Club on Sunday.  They beat Belvoir Park, Ulster, by 3.5 matches to 1.5 in the final. 

This 10-in-a-team Championship is played between women over 60 years of age,   In its second year, it attracted entries from over 70 clubs Ireland-wide.  The clubs competed at County, then Provincial level, culminating in semi-finals and final over a weekend.   What a good idea!
