Julie McCarthy (Forrest Little) has regained the Irish U18 girls champion. She beat international team-mate Niamh McSherry (Lurgan) at the 20th in a superb final at Kilkenny Golf Club.

McSherry went ahead with an eagle at the third but McCarthy squared it with a par at the fourth and birdied the sixth to go back into a one-hole lead.
McSherry fought back with three birdies in a row to start the back nine two holes ahead. McCarthy drew level again at the 16th with the help of a birdie. McSherry regained the lead with a par at the 17th but McCarthy got up and down from a bunker to square the final at the 18th.
The first extra hole was halved in par figures before McCarthy won at the 20th with another par.
