Scottish champion Clara Young from North Berwick, a second-year student at Missouri University, finished tied 15th in a field of 68 playeres at the Seminole Match Up 54-hole tournament which ended today (Sunday) at Seminole golf course, Tallahassee, Florida.
Over a par 72 course of 6,260yd, Clara shot rounds of 75, 74 and 74 for a total of 223 - 12 shots behind the winner by five, Maddie Szeryk (Texas A and M) (69-72-70 for 211).
Emma Allen from Southampton, a freshman from Southampton, was the highest placed Missouri player in T13 position with improving rounds of 78, 74 and 70 for 222.
Chloe Weir from Belfast, a freshman at Kansas State University, finished T43 on 232 with rounds of 78, 72 and 82.
 Carnoustie's Jess Meek, a third-year student at Missouri, is still searching for her best form. She had rounds of 78, 78 and 80 to finish T51 on 236.
Connie Jaffrey, beaten finalist in the Scottish women's amateur championship a couple of years ago and a GB and I international for a spell, was not included in the Kansas State line-up for this tournament.
Missouri (900) could finish only seventh and Kansas State (918) 10th behind team title winners Florida State (871) with South Carolina (875) runners-up.
