Heather Munro's top six finish in Florida

Monifieth's Heather Munro, a second-year student at Elon 

 University, North Carolina, finished joint sixth in a field of 83 players at the Florida Gulf Coast Eagle Invitational at Stoneybroke Country Club, Fort Myers in Florida today (SUNDAY).

Heather had rounds of 76, 73 and 76 for a total of 225 over a par-72 course of 5,700yd.

She finished 13 shots behind the runaway winner, by eight strokes, Payton Schanan (Mercer University) who scored 70, 71 and 71 for four-under 212.

Munro's effort helped Elon (914) to finish third in the team event behind Mercer (894) and Toledo (903).
