The Ladies European Tour season reaches its climax at this week’s Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, where Emily Kristine Pedersen and Nanna Koerstz Madsen battle to end the campaign as rookie of the year.
Madsen needs at least a third place finish at Emirates Golf Club to have any chance of overtaking her Danish counterpart, with Pedersen sixth in the Order of Merit standings after claiming her maiden title at the Hero Women's Indian Open.
Pedersen has made four other top-10 finishes during her breakthrough year, including a runner-up finish at the Ladies Open de France, with the 19-year-old now looking to finish her season with another strong display in Dubai.

"It is always nice to be in a good position before the last tournament, but as I have said before a lot can still happen and golf is unpredictable," Pedersen told a pre-tournament press conference.
"Nanna is a really good player so I don't really think about rookie of the year coming in to the tournament. I am focusing on my own game and I am headed in to the tournament with the goal to make the best possible result in Dubai.

"I am very happy about my first year on the LET. I've learned how important it is to handle the fact that sometimes you're playing under a lot of pressure, like to make the cut, to win, or earn enough money to qualify for the next tournament."
The two rookies will play alongside former Solheim Cup winner Maria McBride for the opening two rounds, while defending champion Shanshan Feng, who has already built up an unassailable lead to secure the Order of Merit title, features with Nicole Broch Larsen and Melissa Reid.

"It (Rookie of the Year) is not really my focus at the moment," Madsen said. "I just want to go out into this event as if it were another one, hoping for a win.
"I will try and do my best to stay focused and if my best is not enough, that's not enough. And if it's enough, it's enough."
