Leader Laura drops a shot at the first hole of

Round 2 at wet and miserable Murcar

Miserable morning of a steady drizzle, a wmd from the south (opposite from yesterday) and temperatures barely above four degrees for the second and final round of the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Ladies Open pro tournament at Murcar Links, writes Colin Farquharson.
Despite the weather, scores should be better as Tour Director Nicola Melville has moved several tees forward from the positions they were in on Thursday when Laura Murray's three-over 74 was the closest score to par.
Laura dropped a shot at the first hole in today's second round. Her
approach shot almost made the putting surface on the left but screwed back and then ran down the slope into an awkard lie in a bunker at the left front of the green.
Murray did well to get her recovery on to the green but she two-putted for a bogey 5.
