LESLEY ATKINS LEADS BRITS/IRISH AT MOBILE

Former Scottish U18 girls champion Lesley Atkins finished the top British or Irish player in the 13th USA Women's Invitational college tournament at Azalea City, Mobile in Alabama on Tuesday, writes Colin Farquharson

                                                        The second-year student at
Louisiana-Monroe University, a member of Gullane Ladies Golf Club, had rounds of 83, 78 and 78 for a total of 239 and a T24 finish in a field of 62 players.

Holly Robinson (Alabama-Birmingham), a fourth-year student from Sligo, finished on 240 (80-81-79) and T26.
Dolores Brown (McNeese State) scored 81, 84 and 81 for 246 and T40.
Katie Reid (Arkansas-Little) from Dundee finished T49 on 251 with rounds of 82, 86 and 83.
Memphis (915) won the team title by 10 strokes from Western Kentucky (925) and Arkansas-Little Rock (928).
