SPARTANBURG, South Carolina. – Due to snow, the second round of the Converse Invitational has been cancelled, meaning the King University women's golf team earned their second victory of the season with a score of 314.  
Nicola Robertson from Dunblane, Scotland, a freshman student at King University  was the individual medallist and team-mate Elizabeth Swallow, a third-year student from Berkshire finished tied second.

Robertson, pictured, carded a 75 to score her first US career victory in a field of 86 golfers. Swallow came in second with a score of 76, and Samantha Taylor, also a King Uni student, from Newcastle  finished 16th, posting an 80 in the tournament.
 Cortnee Young and Anna Walker rounded out the team with first round scores of 83 and 84, respectively.
King University won the tournament's team title  by nine strokes with a 314 total. University of Mount Olive took second place at 323. Hosts Converse College finished third at 326, and Queens University took fourth with a score of 327.
The win is King's second of the 2014-15 college golf season as they won the King University Invitational last autumn.

+The snow seemed to follow the King University team from Bristol, Tennessee - where the college has been closed due to a snowfall of 10 inches!.
