AUSSIE VICKY THOMAS LEADS MOSS VALE CLASSIC IN AUSTRALIA

Aussie Vicky Thomas (pictured above) fired an impressive six-under-par 67 to hold a one-stroke lead going into the final round of the 36-hole Moss Vale Classic at Moss Vale Golf Club, New South Wales, Australia.
The Moss Vale lay-out certainly suits the Victorian, who won this event during the 2009/2010 season and has posted several top five finishes in recent years.
The 37-year-old has started the season very well with two top 10 finishes in as many events.
South African Stacy Lee Bregman is leading the chasing pack. Bregman arrived in Australia only last week and signed for a very good round of five-under-par 68.
England’s Laura Davies also got her year off to a great start with a very credible four-under-par 69 and shares third position with the consistent Sarah Kemp.
Holding down fifth position is another international player, England’s Felicity Johnson. Johnson is at three-under and shares fifth place with NSW’s duo of Corie Hou and Rebecca Artis and Victorian Stacey Keating.
Belgium’s Chloe Leurquin, American Ginny Brown and Queenslanders Bree Arthur, Courtney Massey and Ashley Ona all signed for two-under-par 71s to be tied for ninth.
France’s Joanna Klatten, who has won the opening two pro-ams, carded an even par round of 73 to be tied for 24th. She will have to go very low tomorrow to give herself half a chance of making it three in a row.
Prizemoney in the Moss Vale Classic amounts in total of 30,000 Australian dollars.
Tomorrow’s weather forecast is for another fine day, so scoring is expected to low once again.
